Relatives of at least 27 people who died in November 2021 describe their loved ones and their grief to Cranston inquiry On 24 November 2021, at least 27 people died in the worst mass migrant Channel drowning on record. Two years later, the Cranston inquiry was set up to investigate the catastrophic event. Many of those who lost their lives were young people.
